Comment: Auch 2010 gab es beim "Bang Your Head!!!" ein Programmheft, das mit seinem Din A6-Format wie ein kleines HEAVY-Magazin anmuten und außerdem als Autogrammheft fungieren sollte. Wegen dieses Verwendungszweckes haben die Texte natürlich einen leicht werblichen Tonfall. Das gedruckte Endresultat sah dann so aus:
Hier sind natürlich nur jene Acts zu finden, zu denen ich die Texte fürs Programmheft verfaßt hatte.
Eigentlich hatte ich diesen Text schon relativ früh für die BYH-Homepage geschrieben, wo die neu bestätigten Bands natürlich auch vorgestellt wurden. Letzten Endes fand der Text dann auch Eingang ins Programmheft. |

Die Angelsachsen um Biff Byford dürften wohl jedem Metalbegeisterten ein Begriff sein -und eifrigen BYH!!!-Besuchern ohnehin, denn insgesamt war die Band schon viermal bei uns in Balingen zu Gast, zuletzt als Co-Headliner des Jahres 2008. Anläßlich unseres Jubiläums beehren uns SAXON erneut - diesmal als Topact der Warm-up-Show. Daß sie selbst nach über 30 aktiven Jahren bestens zum Motto des Abends passen, belegt, wie treu sie "unserer" Musik geblieben sind - eine Treue, für die sie ihr Publikum stets mit bester Livestimmung belohnt. Natürlich tragen dazu auch die beträchtlichen Livequalitäten einer SAXON-Show ihren Teil dazu bei, und daß man auch im Studio noch längst nicht zum alten Eisen gehört und Relevantes zur Szene beizutragen weiß, belegte zuletzt das hervorragende »Into The Labyrinth«. Natürlich aber wollen die Fans, insbesondere im Rahmen einer NWoBHM-Gedächtnisshow, auch die alten Klassiker vom Schlage ›Crusader‹, ›Denim And Leather‹, ›Wheels Of Steel‹, ›Strong Arm Of The Law‹ oder ›Motorcycle Man‹ hören, die besagte musikalische Ära nachhaltig geprägt haben - und das werden sie zweifellos!
For sure every metalhead as well as frequent BYH!!!-visitors will know the Anglo-Saxon group fronted by Biff Byford, as SAXON were until now our guests for already four times. Last time in 2008 they were co-headlining the festival and this time they will be on top of the list of our warm-up show. The band always kept true to their roots, which makes them the perfect band for this evening, and like in the past a blisting liveatmosphere will be guaranteed once more. SAXON always proved that they can still set the stage on fire, but they are also still able to nail it down in the studio like their last album »Into The Labyrinth« showed. Of course the fans will be keen on a NWoBHM-night to get all the classics like ›Crusader‹, ›Denim And Leather‹, ›Wheels Of Steel‹, ›Strong Arm Of The Law‹ or ›Motorcycle Man‹, which helped to coin the sound of this musical era - for sure they will get them!
