INVOCATOR – Weave The Apocalypse

BLACK MARK PRODUCTION/ROUGH TRADE

Richtig gut ist die neue, mittlerweile nicht mehr ganz so neue INVOCATOR geworden. Erstklassiger Thrash, wie man ihn besser kaum zu Gehör kriegt. Bietet das ganze Brett von schleppend bis sauschnell und stets knüppelhart und powervoll. Auch kann man sich mit »Weave The Apocalypse« von dem Vorwurf entledigen, man würde wie die alten KREATOR klingen. Wirkliche Eigenständigkeit ist im Thrashsektor zwar nahezu unmöglich, aber INVOCATOR klingen doch so eigen, daß man keinen ernsthaften namhaften Vergleich heranziehen kann. Ebenfalls erwähnenswert ist das Cover, das durchaus Giger-würdig ist; könnte ein Ausschnitt aus seinem nächsten Alien sein. Wer also ein rundum gelungenes Thrashalbum haben möchte, der kann bedenkenlos zu »Weave The Apocalypse« greifen.
